E4. choice

For this choice blog I am going to tell a nice story. This story is going to be fictional. Maybe. There was once a man named John Robson. John had a nice house out in California. Specifically in Los Angeles. He really liked his house and the area but he thought it was time for a change. He had money and when I say money I mean he had hundreds of millions. He owned Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, and a couple Bentlys. He had the best clothes that money could buy. He carried a couple thousands in hundreds in his wallet. Then one morning he woke up as if he was being controlled by aliens. He took his cars and gave them to people who had broken down cars. He took all his clothes and gave them to homeless people with ripped clothing. He donated all of his money except for 69,000 dollars. He wanted that money to get a plane ticket and fly all the way out to Buffalo New York. He ended up in a small little town named Alden. He thought it was a great change from his old life. He got everything handed to him and he was sick of it and he wanted to actually work to get his money. So he got a job that he could actually do. He applied at Tops, Dollar General, Tim Hortons, Value, and all the gas stations in Alden. No one would hire him. They all said he needed to get a job before they would give him a job. He was confused by that because if everyone is saying that then how could he get a job? He almost gave up and called his parents for more money. Then he thought about one place that would hire almost anybody. The next day he walked to McDonalds. He asked for an application, and the manager was there. He was hired on the spot because they didn't have enough workers because someone got sick. That was the biggest mistake he could make. That night he was cleaning up and the ovens had a malfunction and blew up. John Robson was the only person who was killed by the blast. The moral of the story is if you're really rich don't give your money up. You will die.

E3. WWBHD

For my choice blog I am going to write a "WWBHD" blog. If you were wondering what "WWBHD" stands for. It is an acronym for What Would Ben Hoy Do. The reasoning behind me writing this is the one and only Ben Hoy is not in class today. This is hard to get through because Ben Hoy inspires me to write really good and he is like a rubber band. You throw ideas at him and they bounce back and they are always one hundred times better. I don't know how I am even getting through this class without Ben. I am going to start to type like Ben and be "humorous." You know what I don't feel like being funny anymore. I'm going to just go with the flow. The flow is telling me to type about everything that is going on. I could pull a Ben Hoy and start using numbers to get to the 300 word count, but that's not going to get my any credit. In my honest and amazing opinion Ben should have got at least half credit if not full credit. He had the 300 words, and it was really creative. He also did use some words. I believe it was 63. I'm not sure I counted last class and I don't feel like counting again. WWBHD... I'm going to go back and count the words for Ben. I went back and counted the words. He used exactly 80 words. This is really easy to type because I have something that is relatively easy to write about. It's probably as easy as..... I'm not going to go there because I need to keep this school appropriate. So anyways how about the hurricane? Sandy didn't really cause too much mayhem at casa de Tadpole. If you didn't know my nickname is Tadpole. Well I'm going to end this blog with a question. What Would Ben Hoy Do?

E2. Thanksgiving traditions

My Thanksgiving traditions are to eat a real lot of food, and then I lay on my grandma's couch until I go home and sleep on my bed. I love eating. I am always one of the last people at the dinner table. It's always down to me, my uncle Greg, and my aunt Danielle. We all love to eat and we love every kind of food. At any family gathering we are the last ones to leave the table and we always eat dessert. This upcoming Thanksgiving I could see it be me my uncle and my aunt all at the dinner table eating the whole time. The biggest tradition we have is during Christmas. My family is Polish. My Grandma who I call nannie is very religious. So during Christmas all of us grandchildren have a specific job to do for Christmas. Last year I had to light a candle and put it outside. This showed that if anyone needed anything to eat we had a spot open. My cousin I think had to put an extra plate and silverware out for a stranger who needed something to eat. I have never had anyone come over who needed food. A big thing about Christmas I like is my Grandpa and my aunts make homemade pierogies. They are so good. They make potato ones, cheese ones, and sauerkraut ones. I'm not a big fan of the sauerkraut ones, but I eat them like a true Polish grandson. I really like to mix the potato ones and the cheese ones. I made up this technique where I cut the potato one into fourths and the cheese ones into fourths as well. Then I take a fourth of both ones and eat them at the same time. Everything about Thanksgiving and Christmas is good because I'm with my big happy Polish family.

E1.My favorite holiday

My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas. I really like Christmas because I get to see all of my family. Sometimes it gets really crazy. One year my little cousin Luke who just turned 6 got into a fight with his brother Kyle who is 8 years old. Luke got punched in the eye and got a black eye. This is all occurring on Christmas Eve at my grandma's house. I call my grandma nana or nannie. I call my grandpa papa. Me and papa have this game we've been playing for as long as I can remember. The game is we secretly kick each other and say "you didn't see that one coming did you?" We play this game at every family event. My Uncle Jay and Aunt Renee are twins and their birthday party was yesterday and papa and I played this game. He got me a couple of times and I got him back. I usually do the behind the back kick. It gets him every time. My birthday is coming up soon November 13th. I will think of a new plan to get him that he will never know. I got a little sidetracked so it's time to get back to Christmas. I obviously like Christmas because of presents. I mean honestly who doesn't like presents? I know I like them. I also really like giving people presents. They get something cool and smile because of how awesome I am. They also love the wrapping job I do. I use almost a whole roll of wrapping paper for one present just to make people angry. I am really bad at using wrapping paper. It's just difficult I always use too much, so instead of embarrassing myself with a bad looking present, so I purposely make it bad so people know I was just messing around.

D4. choice

For my choice blog this week I am going to write about some advice my buddy gave me one night. He said “Livin is Learnin cuz if you lived it you learned it.” That was honestly one of the greatest things I have ever heard, ever. That saying probably changed my whole life. I now enjoy the better things first. If I'm eating dinner I'll eat the main part first. A perfect example is if you are eating a steak dinner and you have mashed potatoes with gravy and some broccoli. I would eat the mashed potatoes then the steak then the broccoli. The hard part about this meal is I very much enjoy all three of those. I would have to say the mashed potatoes are my favorite out of the three. Then if you are having dessert I would eat that before everything. A nice slice of pie before the rest of your dinner. If you are having cherry pie make sure you put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. If you don't have ice cream put some cool whip on that delicious and marvelous piece of pie. Pie is probably one of the greatest things ever invented. Now I would really love if I could have a slice of pie. It tastes really good. If I could just live off of pie I totally would. My favorite kind has to be lemon meringue. My second favorite type of pie has got to be pineapple meringue. It is so good. I made it once in my life and it came out perfect. The meringue was perfectly done and golden colored. I should become a pie maker! If I can make a pie that good on my first try ever. After some practice I could make pie like a champ. So I can thank my buddy Alan for that advice which basically gave me an idea for my future.

D3. What I want to do when I get older

I have no idea I what I want to do when I get older. One idea I have is to be a street racer. If do proceed with this career idea I will have to be careful because it's illegal. If I do it I want to drive a 2006 Honda civic si. It is a standard five speed transmission. Turbo charged with a custom paint job and a new body kit. I would also get a nice system in there so I could wake up all of the old people trying to sleep. There is no time for sleeping when you could be racing. If I couldn't get a 06 civic I would want a 2007 Toyota supra. I would need to put a new body kit on it and I would need to put a new turbo on it and some rims. I might also want some neon on the car. I would want some inside by the pedals and some outside underneath the car. I would also need some cash to put down for the races. Also I will need to get my driver’s license. That is pretty important. I will need to get a job so I can pay for all of this stuff. I’m also planning on having Ben Hoy as my side kick. He will be riding shotgun and directing me around the turns and such. If we crash that would probably ruin everything. My car would be totaled, Ben would be injured and I would have to quit racing. That would be my first choice of what I want to do after high school. That is probably the worst choice I could have for after school because of the risks. In the end it would definitely be worth it though. Everyone would say “Hey Jake your car is sick” or “Dude I want your car” Etc.

D2. Environmental

Environmental science with Mr. Kasper. Mr. Kasper is one of the best teachers there is. He is funny, kind, sultry. He doesn't yell at students but he also maintains control. He can sometimes talk and talk and talk and talk for the whole class which is kind of hard to get through. Kasper is like the ghost. He is fun, kind, nice, and he is a good teacher. I got through biology because Kasper knew how to teach in a good way. Kasper recently let us play with owl pellets. Owl pellets are what the owls ate and eventually spit up in a sort of hair ball type substance. It was really gross. Imagine dissecting a cat hair ball. Doesn't sound fun does it? Imagine a cat hair ball that smells really bad and has little bones in it. That's what a owl pellet is. Going through it with little tweezers and a sharpened stick. It was similar to a tooth pick but larger and only one sided. It was pretty gross. The only thing is it was a cool break from the curriculum we are studying right meow. I mean would you rather go through an owl's hair ball or take a lot of notes and not have fun? I would choose the hair ball any day. If you are a student that goes to Alden I would recommend taking any class with Kasper that you could. He is the best teacher I've ever had. He is so chill and down to earth, but he also knows how to get the work done and done quickly. I'm in my junior year and I wish I took more classes with Mr. Kasper. It would be a great way to spend the year and get some credits for it as well.
